Tis The Season…
Your home and carpets cleaned and ready for company. The house is beautifully decorated…Christmas music playing… the Christmas tree is a masterpiece with lights, ornaments and all the trimmings…it smells so Christmasy and just perfect….
And then you notice…. Pine Sap stuck in the carpet!
Unfortunately even with a tree skirt around the Christmas tree… carpet is not always protected!
No need to panic! No need to call in for an emergency cleaning…
You can use some glycerin to get the sap out. (Available at most drug stores). Use a 50/50 mixture with warm water and apply directly to the sap. Let the mixture disolve, then use a paper towel and gently pull the sap away from the carpet.
Sigh of relief…back to “perfect” for the Holidays!!
PS. For any other carpet emergencies like spilled wine or candle wax that often occur during the festive season…check out these other stain tips.
